Pickled mussels

Mussels of the species Mytilus galloprovincialis. These are cultivated on "bateas", floating platforms from which hang submerged ropes to which the mussels naturally attach themselves.

Our rias are the world's main source of this mollusc; it is here that they find the best food, allowing them to reach a superior size and exceptional quality.
